Males only
Campers will learn more about who God is through counselor-led discussion in the evenings and by experiencing what He created as they live outdoors.
Drop off and pick up by parents will happen at the Coat Creek site.
Campers and staff are transported to a semi remote wilderness area, far enough from a road so that they feel that they are really roughing it yet close enough in case of emergency and for the delivery of food supplies and check ins by the camp leadership staff. Campers will be divided into groups of 3 plus one staff member and each group will select 10 items of survival gear from a pre-approved list and are issued a kit of standard equipment, clothing and first aid/emergency supplies. The campers will find some of their food, build shelters, and focus on outdoor living skills: fires, tools, first aid, as well as individual skills and knowledge: edible plants, snares, solar stills, and whittling.
This camp will have 9 campers plus three staff.
Safety and maturity of leadership is of utmost importance in this camp. Therefore, two of the staff are in their mid-twenties and will plan and run the camp. The other adult will be someone middle aged to provide extra safety and decision making. (yes we are looking for someone to assist in this area.)
